This crayon, pencil and eraser set offers the basic tools found in life drawing classes at almost every art school in the world. The monochrome colours of black, white, sanguine and sepia bring pictures to life with vitality and expression, enhanced with white and with shadows deepened with black. Since crayons designed for sketching are harder than conventional pastel crayons, the lines do not disappear completely when smudged. The sanguine and sepia crayons are supplemented by oil-free and oil-based drawing pencils for sketching and details.

Derwent charcoal pencils are made from charcoal particles mixed with the finest clays. The goal was to create a charcoal pencil with a soft, rich lead which is naturally water soluble.

Blister of 4 contains: light, medium, dark, and tinted charcoal White.

The Burnisher pencil by Derwent helps colour penetrate deeply within the paper for a blended finish that is almost photographical.

This hard and colourless pencil brings a polished and voluptuous finish on pigmented layers. Used to cover a colour, the Burnisher pencil creates a luminous (or lustrous) effect without changing the colour of the piece. Applied first, it can also serve for the crayon resist technique, together with fattier pencils like the colorsoft pencil.

Derwent Inktense water-soluble pencils can be used dry, but it's when you use them with water that they really come to life and the "lead" turns into vibrant ink. Once dry, the colours are fixed, and you can safely work on top of them. This permanency also makes them ideal for working with fabrics like silks and cotton.

Includes 36 assorted colours and 1 non-soluble outliner.

The Derwent blending pencil allows obtaining a subtle mix of tones. This pencil is soft and colourless and contains the same medium as colorsoft colouring pencils.

It allows blending two colours or more to obtain a new shade and mix or soften a pencil line that is a little too frank.
